ip msdp originator-id

Use this command to identify an interface address to be used as
the rendezvous point (RP) address in a Multicast Source Discovery
Protocol (MSDP) Source-Active (SA) message. Cancel the setting
with the no form of this command.

ip msdp originator-id <interface-name>
no ip msdp originator-id
<interface-name>
The RP address is used as the originator ID.

ip msdp peer

Use this command to configure a Multicast Source Discovery Pro-
tocol (MSDP) peer. Remove the MSDP peer with the no form of
this command.

The specified MSDP peer router must be simultaneously configured
as a BGP peer. If you are also BGP peering with this MSDP peer,
use the same IP address for MSDP as you do for BGP. However,
you are not required to run BGP or multiprotocol BGP with the
MSDP peer, as long as there is a BGP or multiprotocol BGP path
between the MSDP peers. If there is no path, you must configure
the default-peer command from router MSDP configuration mode.
This example describes how to configure the router at the IP ad-
dress 101.1.1.1 as the MSDP peer of this router.
ZXR10(config)#ip msdp peer 101.1.1.1 connect-source loopback1
