CAUTION
• Do not install disks that are for use in other devices.
Refer to "ETERNUS DX60/DX80 Disk storage system Package Contents" and
check that no items are missing.

Check that all components of the ETERNUS DX60/DX80 are in normal status,
using the Storage System Status screen of GUI.
Remove the front cover.
Refer to "2.2.3 Attaching and Removing the Front Cover" (page 58)
procedure.
Wear a wrist strap.
For how to wear a wrist strap, refer to
Remove the dummy disk unit from the slot in which the disk is to be installed.
Hook your fingers and push into the holes of the dummy disk unit, and pull it straight out of
the disk slot.

The removed dummy disk unit should be retained for future use.
