16.3 Test Run
Application
In the Test Run mode of operation you can simulate programs and
program sections to reduce programming errors during program run.
The TNC checks the programs for the following:
Geometrical incompatibilities
Missing data
Impossible jumps
Violation of the machine's working space
Collisions between collision-monitored components (DCM software
option is required, see "Collision monitoring in the Test Run mode of
operation", page 334)
The following functions are also available:
Blockwise test run
Interrupt test at any block
Optional block skip
Functions for graphic simulation
Calculating the machining time
Additional status display
If your machine has the DCM (Dynamic Collision
Monitoring) software option, you can check for collisions
in the Test Run mode before actually machining a part,
(see "Collision monitoring in the Test Run mode of
operation" on page 334)
