6. Lift the processor out of the retention mechanism.

7. Terminate the processor socket if it is to remain empty
(see "Installing a Termination Board"). Otherwise, install
the upgrade processor (see "Installing an Upgrade
Processor").

Removing a Termination Board

If your system has one processor and you are adding a second
processor, then you must remove the termination board in the
empty Slot 1 secondary connector.
