FLASH Utility

The system BIOS resides on a flash read only memory
(ROM) chip in your system. The flash ROM can be updated
with a very simple procedure.
Two diskettes are used when updating the Flash ROM. The
first diskette updates the BMC and HSC firmware. The
second diskette contains the latest version of the BIOS code.
You can get the diskettes from NEC CSD or download the
BMC and HSC firmware and the BIOS from the NEC CSD
website or Bulletin Board System (BBS). See Chapter 6 for
download information.
Update the BIOS from the diskettes using the instructions
that come with the diskettes, or from information on the BBS.
See Chapter 6 for information about using the website or the
bulletin board.

Symbios Configuration Utility

The Symbios Configuration Utility detects the two SCSI host
adapters located on the system board. Use the utility to:

change adapter and SCSI device default values
T
check and/or change SCSI device settings that may
conflict with those of other devices in the server
T
perform low-level formatting or verify operations on SCSI
drives.
