System Board

System memory, one or two processors, and the system
battery reside on the system board.
The system board supports two diskette drives and up to four
IDE devices such as a hard drive, CD-ROM drive, or Zip
drive.
The system board also comes with a dual-channel SCSI
subsystem. The system supports up to four internal SCSI
devices within the drive cage, and/or three devices in the
5 1/4-inch accessible device bays. The SCSI subsystem is
RAID compatible.
Find the following internal connectors on the system board:
T
primary and secondary IDE connectors
T
diskette drive connector
T
expansion board connectors
T
front panel connectors for system power, the system power
lamp, and the disk activity lamp
T
additional connectors including the modem in connector,
the chassis intrusion connector (hardware monitor),
speaker connector, and system fan connector
T
power connector.
