11 Inspection, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting

11.2.1 Linear Servomotor Inspection

11.2 Inspection and Maintenance

11.2.1 Linear Servomotor Inspection
• Do not disassemble the linear servomotor.
Failure to observe this caution may result in electric shock or injury.
Simple, daily inspection is sufficient. The inspection and maintenance frequencies in Table 11.8 are only guide-
lines. Increase or decrease the frequency to suit the operating conditions and environment.
If disassembly of the linear servomotor is required because of the linear servomotor failure, contact your
Yaskawa representative.

* Measure across the servomotor FG and the phase-U, phase-V, or phase-W power line.

11.2.2 SERVOPACK Inspection

For inspection and maintenance of the SERVOPACK, follow the inspection procedures in Table 11.9 at least
once every year. Other routine inspections are not required.

CAUTION
Procedure
Touch and listen from safe posi-
tion.
Clean with cloth or compressed
air.
Disconnect SERVOPACK and
test insulation resistance
at 500 V. Must exceed 10 MΩ .
Disconnect the linear servomotor
from the SERVOPACK, and then
check the gap.
Contact your Yaskawa represen-
tative.
Procedure
Check for dust, dirt, and oil
on the surfaces.
Check for loose terminal
block and connector
screws.
Check for discoloration,
damage, or discontinuities
due to heating.
Comments
Levels higher than normal?
Use alcohol solvent.
Contact your Yaskawa repre-
sentative if the insulation
resistance is below 10 MΩ.
Do not perform insulation
resistance measurement and
withstand voltage test for the
sensors.
The GAP dimension stays
unchanged from its initial
value.
The user should not disassem-
ble and clean the servomotor.
Comments
Clean with cloth or compressed air.
Tighten any loose screws.
Contact your Yaskawa representative.
