4. Pull outward on the handle to slide the LCM out of the chassis.
5. Set the LCM aside for return to Spectra Logic.
6. Slide the new LCM into the empty slot, pushing it in until it is flush against the
chassis.
7. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screws, shown in Figure 8-2 on page 68,
to secure the LCM to the chassis.
8. Package the malfunctioning LCM and ship it to Spectra Logic as described in
Chapter 10 – Returning Components on page 101.
Restarting the Library
After replacing the LCM, power on the library as described in Power On the Library on
page 21. The BlueScale user interface is again available through the front panel an
through a web browser.
Note:
It may be necessary to upgrade firmware on the LCM. See the
Spectra T200 &T380 Library User Guide for detailed information
about performing firmware upgrades. The LCM must reboot after a
firmware upgrade, which will interrupt backups.
Restoring the Library Configuration
After the library restarts, restore the partition definitions and library configuration
settings using one of the following methods.
Restore the configuration you previously saved to a USB storage device or uploaded
to a file on a computer (see Restoring a Saved Configuration on page 70).
If SpectraGuard Support directs you to do so, remove the card from the LCM you
replaced and install it in the new LCM compact flash slot (see Replacing the
Compact Flash Card in the LCM on page 71).
Re-enter the partition configurations and other library configuration settings as
described in the Spectra T200 &T380 Library User Guide.
