Note:
During normal operation, the following additional components are
present on the rear panel:
A DBA cover is installed over the drives.
Cord locks are installed to prevent the power cords from being
disconnected.
A permanent grounding wire is connected to the power supply bay.
Any bays that do not contain components have covers installed to
maintain proper air circulation through the library.

Replaceable Interior Components

The transporter is the only interior component covered by this guide. Figure 1-3 shows
the location of the transporter. To replace the transporter, see Chapter 9 – Replacing
the Transporter, beginning on page 73.
Note:
Depending on the ASM service contract you purchased, the
transporter may not be included with the components stored at
your site.
Note:
The transporter is replaced from the front of the library if the
library is installed in a rack that does not provide side access. If
the rack provides side access, you can remove the library's side
panels to replace the transporter.
