Copying Data From a USB Storage Device to
the Library
You can copy (download) the following types of data from a USB storage device to the
library:
Firmware package updates. The Spectra T200 &T380 Library User Guide provides
instructions for copying package updates to the library and executing the updates
after they are copied to the library.
Caution:
Wait until all currently running backup processes are complete
before executing a firmware update. If necessary, use your
backup software to stop the backup processes.
A previously saved library configuration. The saved configuration can be used to
restore a lost configuration (see Restoring a Saved Configuration on page 70).
A previously exported BlueScale encryption key. The Spectra T200 &T380 Library
User Guide provides instructions for importing previously exported encryption
keys.
Saving Data From the Library to a USB
Storage Device
You can save (upload) the following types of data from the library to a USB storage
device:
Library configurations. Whenever you modify the configuration of the library or a
partition, you have the option of saving the configuration to USB. The library user
interface also includes a utility for saving the configuration to USB. Refer to the
Spectra T200 &T380 Library User Guide for detailed instructions.
Trace results. Trace results include diagnostic information that can be used to
troubleshoot library problems. Trace results saved to a USB storage device can be
reviewed from any device that can read data from a USB storage device. Refer to the
Spectra T200 &T380 Library User Guide for detailed instructions.
BlueScale encryption keys. For safe-keeping and security, export an encryption
keys to a USB storage device after it is configured and store it in a safe, secure
location so that you can import it back into the library if needed. The Spectra T200
&T380 Library User Guide provides instructions for exporting BlueScale encryption
keys.
