4. Select OK.
Another Feedback Required screen indicates that the requested QIP has been
successfully shut down.
Note:
Do not respond to the prompt in the Feedback Required screen or
perform any other operations from the user interface (either locally
or remotely) until you complete the replacement procedure. Doing
so will power-on and configure the QIP you just powered down.
Remove the Malfunctioning QIP
Use the following steps to remove a QIP.
1. After shutting down the QIP, go to the rear of the library and remove the protective
cover as described in Remove the Cover on page 19.
2. Based on the QIP identifier you determined in Identifying a Malfunctioning QIP on
page 53, locate the malfunctioning QIP.
3. Carefully disconnect any cables connected to the QIP.
Note:
Label the cables to indicate where each was connected. You will
connect the cables to the same locations on the new QIP.
4. Remove the SFPs from the ports on the QIP (Figure 6-6) and set them aside. You
will install them in the new QIP.
