Connecting the Emulation Probe to a Site LAN
1 Connect the LAN cable to the connector on the emulation probe.
Be sure to use the appropriate Category 3 or Category 5 cable for your LAN.
Do not use the LAN cable supplied with the emulation probe—it is a crossover
cable used for point-to-point connections only.
2 Find out the IP address and other LAN parameters to use for the
emulation probe. See "To obtain an IP address" on page 41.
3 Decide how you want to configure the LAN parameters:

4 Verify that your emulation probe is now active and on the network. See
