12.4 Minimisation program
If the compensation run of the rim without tyre was omitted and
the precision key was pressed to go directly into the minimisa-
tion program (reading UN.3 – Fig. 121), proceed as follows:
D
Clamp the tyre/rim assembly on the balancer.
D
Readjust such that the valve is exactly perpendicular to
and above the main shaft.
D
Press the OP key to enter the valve position.
Reading UN.4 comes up (Fig. 122).
D
Press the START key.
The measuring run is carried out.
After the measuring run two readings are possible:
UN.5 – H1 (see Fig. 123)
Further minimisation is not recommended, but possible.
UN.5 – reference mark (see Fig. 124)
Continue with the UN program.
Reading UN.5 – H1 (Fig. 123)
If UN.5 – H1 is read out further minimisation is not recom-
mended. In this case, the measured data does not exceed the
given limits. However, it is possible to continue minimisation so
as to achieve an improvement, if only slight (e.g. critical
vehicle).
To continue with the minimisation program:
D
Proceed as specified for reading UN.5 – reference mark
(see next page).
To abort minimisation:
D
Press the STOP key to return to the balancing program
and balance the wheel according to the readings.

12.4 Programme de minimisation
Si la lancée de compensation de la jante sans pneu a été omise
et si la touche de précision a été appuyée pour passer directe-
ment au programme de minimisation (affichage UN.3 –
Fig. 121), poursuivre comme suit:
D
Serrer l'ensemble pneu/jante sur la machine.
D
Tourner jusqu'à ce que la valve soit exactement perpen-
diculaire à et au-dessus de l'arbre principal.
D
Appuyer sur la touche OP pour entrer la position de la
valve.
L'affichage UN.4 (Fig. 122) apparaît alors.
D
Appuyer sur la touche START.
La lancée de mesure est initialisée.
Après la lancée de mesure, deux affichages sont possibles:
UN.5 – H1 (voir Fig. 123)
Il n'est pas recommandé mais possible de continuer la
minimisation.
UN.5 – repère (voir Fig. 124)
Poursuivre le programme UN.
Affichage UN.5 – H1 (Fig. 123)
Si UN.5 – H1 est affiché, il n'est en général pas recommandé de
continuer la miminisation, car les valeurs mesurées ne dépas-
sent pas les limites fixées. Il est cependant possible de conti-
nuer la minimisation pour obtenir une amélioration, même au-
dessous de la valeur limite (véhicule critique).
Continuer la minimisation:

Poursuivre selon la description pour l'affichage
UN.5 – repère (voir page suivante).
Interrompre la minimisation:
D
Appuyer sur la touche STOP pour repasser au pro-
gramme d'équilibrage et équilibrer la roue suivant
l'affichage.
