ODA Remote Programming

ODA Remote Programming
The ODA remote programming interface uses Microsoft.NET Remoting
technology. It is controlled by manipulating the properties and methods
exposed by the server object. The list of events, properties and methods in
this section describe the interface that is available to a programmer
wanting to use the ODA measurement engine in some other development
environment.
ODA Remote Control DLLs
The ODARemoteControl DLLs provide a communication link with the ODA
application. The DLLs are comprised of a set of Properties, Methods, and
Events that together provide a basic set of remote ODA capabilities. The
two DLLs of interest are:remoteClient.dll and InstrumentObjects.dll. By
default these two DLLs are installed to: C:\Program Files\Agilent\Agilent
ODA Remote Control\.
.NET Interface Hierarchy
The ODA Remote Control organizes its APIs into a Function Tree hierarchy.
This associates like functions into logical groupings. Therefore, the
remoting commands are grouped and listed by function, then command
type in the following sections.
