Tip: Settings in a panel are saved when another menu item or front panel
key is selected. It is not necessary to press close on each setup panel.
3 From the Setup menu, press Ports and select Port 1.
4 From the Setup menu, press Meas Range and set the Start wavelength to
1510 nm and the Stop wavelength to 1640 nm.
5 From the Setup menu, press Sens/Res. In the Sens/Res setup panel,
a Set Trace Points to 1601
b Set RF Mod Freq to 100 MHz
The Auto Mod Freq selection is not available for Swept measurements.
Therefore, it is best to start will a low modulation frequency to avoid RF phase
shift abiguity in the case of a high dispersion fiber.
c Select an IF Bandwidth of 300 Hz
Lower values of IF bandwidth reduce the noise but increase the measurement
time.
6 From the Display menu, press Auto Scale and set the Offset GD trace to zero at:
option to Minimum Point.
