Power Supply Cooling Fan

Fans are the primary means used to limit the rise in internal temperature.
Three fans are controlled by specialized circuity on the Main Board.
The following illustration shows the location and airflow direction of the
Scanner Unit, Power Supply, and Chassis Fans.
Power Supply Fan
The Power Supply Cooling Fan cools the system Power Supply and operates
at full-speed, half-speed, or stopped states according to these conditions:
The Power Supply Cooling Fan runs at full-speed for:
A predetermined period of time after the Power Switch is turned On
A specified period of time representing the end of Energy Saver mode
