10. Point the spray gun without nozzle into the grounded metal tank for return product.
11. Open the spray gun. Rinse until flushing agent flows from the spray gun.
12. Close the spray gun.
13. Clean and/or change the suction filter.
14. Repeat steps 7–13 if necessary.
15. Relieve pressure
16. Close pump pressure regulator. Switch on compressed air supply. Open atomizing
air regulator.
17. Actuate the trigger of the spray gun and thoroughly blow out the air passages.
18. Switch off the compressed air supply.
19. Clean the gun body remaining AquaCoat components with a cleaning agent recommended
by the lacquer manufacturer.
20. Dry with a cloth or a blow gun.
21. Remove flushing agent supply. Dispose of the contents of the tank for return product
according to the local regulations.
8.1.4 DECOMMISSIONING
1. Flush and clean the system according to Chapter 8.1.3.
2. Fill the whole system with flushing agent in accordance with Chapter
operating manual.
8.1.5 LONG-TERM STORAGE
If storing the system for a prolonged period of time, thorough cleaning and corrosion
protection are necessary. For the last rinse, replace the water or solvent in the product
pumps with a suitable preservative.
Procedure:
1. Clean the system according to Chapter 8.1.3.
2. Fill the whole system with flushing agent in accordance with Chapter
operating manual.
3. Fill the whole system with preservative according to Chapter
operating manual. Observe the specifications of the lacquer manufacturer.
4. If the discharge duct is to be removed, seal product outlet with plug.
5. If the suction system is to be removed, seal product inlet with plug.
6. Storage according to Chapter 6.2.
