5.25 GREASING – LUBRICATION

Points 1 indicated in the image indicate the greasers to lubricate the areas subject to friction. The different
greasers are indicated by specific stickers.
Strictly follow the instructions below at points 2 (chains):
•
Bring the boom in the horizontal position and extend it;
•
Slightly loosen the chain from the nuts in line with the chain coupling;
• Clean the chains using only paraffin based products;
• Do not use acid or corrosive cleaning products;
•
Re-lubricate the chains at operating temperature with oil with a viscosity of ISO-VG from 68 to 220;
•
Do not use oils containing graphite or molybdenum disulphide.
•
Apply the lubricant with a brush or spray;
• Do not lubricate when chains are tensioned as the lubricant cannot penetrate properly between
the links.
