3.2.1.3 BOOM LIFTED MODE

The boom inclination angle, i.e. its position with respect to the ground, is controlled by specific sensors.
When the boom is lifted approximately 10° respect to its home position, it enters "boom lifted" mode and
this screen appears automatically:
In this condition the machine speed is limited to about 11km/h by automatically activating the drive mode
HANDLING. The outriggers and lateral levelling movement are inhibited in "boom lifted" mode. Also, if
operating on wheels, the machine is not well livelled (side tilting >1.0°) when the boom reaches a lifting
angle of approximately 60° the vehicle enters in alarm since its operating limits have been exceeded; a
warning appears on the screen and boom movements are blocked.
To restore machine operation and return to safe conditions, movement of the telescopic boom must be
enabled by pressing the button at the head of the left stalk as indicated in the screen. Consent to
movement in this stage lasts approximately 5 seconds so as not to allow a movement in the hard direction
that is too high. Immediately return to the safety condition by lowering the boom!
