When the regeneration request appears in the REGENERATION section on the SET-UP page and the
corresponding LED on the display is enabled, the dust in the SCR system must be cleaned (regeneration). It
is advisable to carry out regeneration stationary as quickly as possible because otherwise the filter
continues to load dust. If regeneration is not carried out, the engine control unit enables the defined engine
protection functions according to the loading of the SCR system. Each regeneration dilutes the engine oil
with fuel in small measure. The quality of the oil is therefore checked. The request to change the oil must
therefore be implemented.
The following is required to carry out regeneration:
•
Stop the machine on open ground at a safe distance from flammable objects.
•
Warm up the engine; the coolant liquid must reach a temperature of at least 70°C.
•
Run the engine at minimum
• Engage the parking brake
• Enable the regeneration function (from the button on the second right side dashboard)
After enabling regeneration, the engine automatically increases the rpm. It is forbidden to use the device
during regeneration. Regeneration lasts approximately 30 minutes and when this is completed the LED on
the second right side dashboard goes off.
The regeneration operation can be interrupted at any time, if required, by pressing the OK button on the
display again when the REGENERATION screen is selected. In this case the regeneration request remains
enabled but the SCR system can be loaded very quickly (up to a level which no longer allows the user to
perform regeneration from a standstill and in this case support from the assistance service must be
requested).
Avoid stopping the engine from a when running at full as this affects the useful life of the exhaust gas
turbocharger.
After unloading, let the engine run at low speed for about a minute.
