In this case regeneration of the SCR system is urgently required. This screen appears automatically
on the display even without consulting the "DIESEL REGENERATION" page. In this situation, if
regeneration is not carried out, serious problems occur affecting the engine and which
compromise the functionality, additionally the engine control unit activates the engine protection
functions set.
The following is required to carry out regeneration:
• Stop the machine on open ground at a safe distance from flammable objects.
•
Warm up the engine; the coolant liquid must reach a temperature of at least 70°C.
•
Run the engine at minimum
•
Engage the parking brake
• Activate the regeneration function by pressing the OK button on the display when the
REGENERATION screen is selected.
After enabling regeneration, the engine automatically increases the rpm. It is forbidden to use the machine
during regeneration. Regeneration lasts 30 minutes on average and, when it is completed, engine speed
returns to idle, the L25 LED turns off and the machine can be used.
The regeneration operation can be interrupted at any time, if required, by pressing the OK button on the
display again when the REGENERATION screen is selected. In this case the regeneration request remains
enabled and the SCR system can be loaded very quickly (up to a level which no longer allows the user to
perform regeneration from a standstill and in this case support from the assistance service must be
requested).
Each regeneration dilutes the engine oil with fuel in small measure. The quality of the oil is therefore
checked. The request to change the oil must therefore be implemented.
Sudden engine shut-down due to an operating condition at full speed must be avoided;
this compromises the useful lifespan of the turbocharger, leave the engine running at low speed for about
one minute.
