LOCKING REAR AXLE OSCILLATION (OPTIONAL)
The rear axle can be locked in the position which where it is found and its
oscillation is blocked. This function is actuated by means of two hydraulic
cylinders above the rear axle which are free to move when the function is not
active and are locked with the function activated. This enhances the crosswise
stability of the machine in certain work situations when, for example, lifting a
heavy load on uneven ground.
This function is optional.
Axle oscillation is locked by means of the button 13 on the second right side
dashboard;
It can only be activated with the machine stopped, the driver in the driver's seat and the parking brake
engaged.
The axle icon on the computer display can be different three different colours:
GREEN: indicating that the axle is locked
RED: indicating that the axle is unlocked
YELLOW: indicating that an error has occurred the function's control circuit; the yellow icon flashes.
When the machine outriggers are completely down (with machine necessarily stopped) and the boom is
lifted at an angle beyond 30°, the safety logic of the machine is engaged automatically locking oscillation of
the axle.
For safety purposes, when the axle is locked, both levelling and the outriggers are deactivated.
Oscillation is unlocked by using the same button with which it was locked;
To unlock the axle, the boom must be lowered to an angle below 25° and the seat sensor must detect the
presence of the driver; the machine does not need to be stopped.
With axle oscillation locked, movement operations (with or without the load) can be dangerous. The axle
no longer follows the unevenness of the ground and the rigidity of the machine can cause it to take on
unexpected inclinations especially bit by bit that speed increases.
If the vehicle moves with the axle locked, an alarm screen appears on the computer display and an acoustic
signal is emitted.
