Fan Tray Replacement Procedures

4.2.1

Isolating a Failed Fan Tray

1. Check that the fans are on.
2. Verify the status of the LEDs.
3. Check the fan status by using the Sun Management Center or by typing the
following SMS command:
sc% showenvironment -p fans
4. Check the /var/opt/SUNWSMS/adm/platform/messages file for fan error
messages.
