The other drain is located on the top shelf of the
Companion XL. Route the tubing attached to the bottom of
this drain (Figure 2-2) to a suitable waste fluid collection
container. This will carry away spills on the top shelf.
Note
It may be necessary to extend the length of tubing from both
locations. If so, splice the tubing with user-supplied tubing. The
user-supplied tubing should have an inside diameter no smaller
than the existing drain tubing, and must be compatible with the
solvent being pumped. Route this extension tubing to the waste
collection vessel.
