SECTION 8 – WHEELS AND TIRES

GENERAL INFORMATION

These vehicles are equipped with either all-terrain or mud tires. The same size tire is used for the front and rear. See
Vehicle Specifications on page 2-1. See following WARNING.
WARNING
• The diameter of all tires on the vehicle must be equal, otherwise the all-wheel drive system will not
operate as intended and could result in severe personal injury or death. Never install tires of different
diameters on the vehicle.
The mud tread design is directional and the tires are mounted on the wheels with regard to which side of the vehicle
they will be used on. The arrow molded on the sidewall indicates designed rotation when vehicle is moving forward
(Figure 8-1, Page 8-1).

The wheels for this vehicle are designed for very rough terrain. They are not interchangeable with any other similar
wheel designs used on other utility vehicles offered by this manufacturer.
• Keep tires properly inflated as follows:
All-terrain tread
Mud tread
• Keep lug nuts properly tightened to 85 ft-lb (115 N·m).
• Keep the front end properly aligned and adjusted.
• Inspect the brake hoses at all four wheels. The hoses should not come in contact with any component.
