CASE EXCHANGE
When the exterior of the middle gear or final
gear case is damaged and must be replaced,
pay attention to the numbers scribed on the
replacement cases. Follow assembly instruc-
tions in the appropriate section of this manual.
9-1. Middle Gear Case Replacement
A. Selection of Drive Pinion Shim
Note the number scribed on the middle
gear cases (original and replacement).
Note the original drive shim thickness:

Notice that the subtraction of a negative
