(3) Remove housing with bearing. Remove
bearing from case.
F. Driven Pinion Disassembly (for replace-
ment only)
NOTE:
The following driven pinion disassembly
should be performed only if the bearings
are to be replaced. Do not re-use bearings
or races that have been installed and
removed.
(1) Remove bearing housing screws.
Remove bearing housing from case.
(2) Hold flange in a vise. Remove self-
locking nut.
(3) Tap driven pinion with a soft hammer.
Remove pinion from bearing housing.
(4) Small bearing (rear):
Remove bearing housing oil seal and
bearing inner race.
