Appendix E – Changing preprogrammed data
Example:
The first number in the numbering plan is 2200. If you want the first number
in the numbering plan to be 2300, and the first line card is in slot 6, perform
the following calculation:

Locate the first line card. Subtract 1 from the number of the card slot that
it is in.
6 - 1 = 5

Multiply the number from step 1 by 16:
5 X 16 = 80

Subtract this number from the first number in the numbering plan:
2300 - 80 = 2220

Enter this value in response to the "FIRST NUMBER (2200)?" prompt
on the administration telephone:
FIRST NUMBER (2000)? 2220
This section contains methods for removing any numbering plan
interferences that occur.
The Option 11C Mini system is shipped with preprogrammed data to support
Meridian Mail Enhanced Card Option. The preprogrammed Meridian Mail
data can cause problems in the following situations:
there is a numbering plan conflict with preprogrammed Meridian Mail
data and the programming required for another feature
another circuit card requires card slot 10
