Chapter 16 — Starting the Option 11C
Mini and installing software

Starting the Option 11C Mini

This chapter describes how to start the Option 11C Mini system and to make
sure that the system is operating correctly. This chapter also describes the
Software Installation Program and how to install software in the Option 11C
Mini system. This chapter contains the following three main sections:
• "Starting the Option 11C Mini" on page 269 contains start-up procedures
for the Option 11C Mini.
• "Software Installation Program" on page 271 describes the Software
Installation Program.
• "Installing software in a new system" on page 275 provides procedures
for installing software on the Option 11C Mini system.
Before you continue with the procedures described in this section, make sure
all necessary hardware is connected to, or installed in the system. Check all
connections, and make sure that you have installed all of the circuit cards
correctly.
Before you start the Option 11C Mini, complete Step 1 through Step 18 in
"Chapter 6 — Getting started installing the Option 11C Mini" on page 71.
