Using Hyper Terminal

Note:
To create a LUN using Hyper Terminal:
1. Ensure that the hp OV CASA Console window is open in administrative mode.
2. Right-click on the window and click Programs > Accessories > Hyperterminal >
3. Enter a name for the serial port connection and click OK.
4. Click COM1 and click OK.
5. Press Enter twice to display a command prompt on the main Hyper Terminal window.
6. Enter:
7. Close the Hyper Terminal window.
8. Reboot the node so it can detect the new LUN.

Perform this procedure on one controller of the array only.

The Connection Description window opens.
The Connect To window opens.
The COM1 Properties window opens.
vfpcfg -L y -a xxG -g1
For y, specify zero (0) as the LUN.
For xx, specify the maximum storage capacity.
