Alarm thresholds

There are two alarm thresholds each allocated to count rate αβ
threshold, count rate α threshold, activity αβ threshold and activi-
ty α threshold.
Configuration of the alarms is possible via infrared interface
(chapter 7.3) or via the menu.
As to the alarm activation, please also read chapter 4.2.

Alarm threshold based on the relative standard
deviation (sigma threshold)
The alarm thresholds refer to the basic display set. If the sigma
value set ranges between 2 and 9, the first alarm threshold is cal-
culated from the count rate of the background Ratemeter accord-
ing to the following empirical equation:
