Recommended Sigma values:
Sigma = 6 enables radiation monitoring with floating reference
background. Setting a minimum count rate for the Alarm 1 via the
PC-configuration program is recommended to avoid false alarms
once a very low background had been learned.

allow the alarm thresholds to be modi-
fied. For this setting, the user has 255 seconds time. Changing the
value is effected by pressing the left (Change) button if the corre-
sponding "Alarm" is selected:
To increment the number, press the arrow keys ▲ ▼. To go on to
the next digit or to quit the edit mode, menu use arrow keys◄►.
Once the last number has been set, quit the editing mode by press-
ing the "Exit"-key. Then, the value set is saved and after 10s the
unit returns to the basic display.
