Chapter 1 Copying

Image Repeat

This function imposes multiple copies of the same
original onto one sheet.
You cannot use [Image Repeat] and [Mixed
^
^
Size Original] at the same time. (p.63 "Mixed
Size Original")
[OFF], [2 Pages], [4 Pages], [8 Pages]
[Original Orientation] (p.61 "Original
Orientation")

Touch [Image Repeat].
The [Image Repeat] screen is displayed.
If the [Confirm] screen appears, set the original
orientation to [Top Side Up] or [Top Side Left].

Select the number of pages per
sheet.

Touch [OK].

Booklet

This function is used for duplex printing of
continuous pages imposed onto one sheet.
You cannot use [Booklet] with [Mixed Size
^
^
Original] or [Combine]. (p.63 "Mixed Size
Original", p.65 "Combine")
<Types of paper that can be used to create
booklets>
A3, B4, A4, B5, Ledger, Legal, Letter, Foolscap,
and custom size
You cannot use the paper which has a width

longer than its height.
[Layout Order]
Specify the imposition order.

When this option is set to [OFF], the imposition
function is not available.
[Center Margin]
Set the center margin to the center of folded
sections to prevent the folded sections from hiding
when the sheets are folded in two.
[Auto Reduction]
Set this option to [ON] to enable automatic
reduction.

Touch [Booklet].
The [Booklet] screen is displayed.

Select the layout order.

Touch [
] or [
center margin.
You can also enter the number using the numeric
keys.

Select [Auto Reduction].

Touch [OK].
If the center margin you have specified causes

the printed image not to fit on the sheet, set
the automatic reduction to [ON].
If you are using the optional multifunction
finisher, the [Binding] and [Separating Books]
functions are available. For more information,
see "Binding ([Booklet])" (p.189) and
"Separating Books ([Booklet])" (p.189) in
"Optional Equipment".

Stamp

Use this option to print the page number, date, and
text on the header or footer.
The page number and date cannot be
^
^
stamped on slip sheet paper or cover paper.

When using this function with [Combine] or
[Image Repeat], the page number and date
are stamped on each page of the copy paper,
not per page of the original. When using this
function with [Booklet], the page number and
date are stamped on each booklet page.
Specifying the reproduction size does not
affect the stamp size.
