Fold

Select the folding type such as bi-fold or Z-fold.
• When [Mixed Size Z-fold] under [Fold] is set to

[ON], this function can be used in combination
with [Staple / Punch]. (p.186 "Staple / Punch")
• Paper size:
Bi-fold: A3, B4, A4, Ledger, Legal, Letter,
Foolscap, 8K, 16K, and Non-standard
Inner Tri-fold, Outer Tri-fold: A4, Letter
Z-fold: A3, B4, Ledger, 8K
• You cannot fold the paper in two, which has

a width longer than its height.
• Paper weight: 60 g/m to 90 g/m (16-lb bond -
24-lb bond)
[OFF]
Paper is not folded.
[Bi-fold]
Each sheet of paper is folded in two.
[Inner Tri-fold]
Each sheet of paper is folded in three toward
inside.
[Outer Tri-fold]
Each sheet of paper is folded in three toward
outside.
[Z-fold]
Each sheet of paper is folded in Z shape.
[Fold Direction]
Select whether to fold the print surface inside or
outside.

Specify the binding side of the paper.

[Z-fold]
[Mixed Size Z-fold]
When this option is set to [ON], bigger size among
two different sizes is output with Z-fold and smaller
size is output without Z-fold.
The sizes that can co-exist for mixed size Z-fold
function are "A4-LEF and A3", "B5-LEF and B4"
and "Letter-LEF and Ledger".
[Auto Image Rotation]
This rotates the image 90 degrees automatically
when the orientations of the original and paper do
not match, even if the paper size loaded in the tray
matches the size of the loaded original. Normally,
this setting is set to [ON].
When you have selected [Bi-fold],

[Inner Tri-fold] or [Outer Tri-fold]

Touch [Fold].

When you have selected [Z-fold]
