3.21 Basic Settings
Select the menu item "Options Settings" to make basic settings for the software. The "Settings" dialog
is displayed (see Fig. 3.63).

Parameters in the "Settings" dialog:

Show warning before removing active programs: Shows a warning before removing a pro-
gram from the active program list (see Chapter 3.13).

Show warning before removing program groups: Shows a warning before removing program
groups (see Chapter 3.15).

Show warning before removing region of interests: Shows a warning before removing region
of interests (see Chapter 3.16.6).

User management: You may activate or deactivate the user management in 3DInspect (see
Chapter 3.18).

Enter the part number manually for each measurement: When you activate this parameter, a
dialog for entering the part number will be shown for each measuring operation. The part num-
ber may be logged in the protocol file (see Chapter 7.3) or may be used for the automatic sav-
ing of point clouds (see below, Section 4 and Chapter 3.6.2), for example. When this parameter
is not active, the part number may be passed using the automation interface (see Chapter 7.3)

No. of measurements: Defines the number of measuring operations which are processed
when pressing the „Start measurement button" (see Chapter 3.2, Section 5) in setup mode.
