Description of the Measuring Programs in the "Data Preprocessing" Group

In this group, you will find programs for selecting, filtering, transforming and aligning point clouds.

Measuring Programs in the "Data Preprocessing" Group:

Calibrate Position: Adjusting the mounting position of the sensor using a static rotation and transla-
tion (see Chapter 5.1.1).

Select points: Select 3D points by using regions of interest and discard the remaining points see
Chapter 5.1.2).

Bounding Box Alignment: Align a point cloud by means of a bounding box (see Chapter 5.1.3).

Plane Alignment: Align a point cloud by means of a plane (see Chapter 5.1.4).
-
Contour Alignment: Align a point cloud by means of a contour (see Chapter 5.1.5).

Trend Removal: Remove a trend of a point cloud (see Chapter 5.1.6).

Average Filter: Filter a point cloud by using an average filter (see Chapter 5.1.7).

Median Filter: Filter a point cloud by using a median filter (see Chapter 5.1.8).

Low Pass Filter: Filter a point cloud by using a low pass filter (see Chapter 5.1.9).

High Pass Filter: Compute the difference of a point cloud which has been filtered with a low pass
filter from the original point cloud (see Chapter 5.1.10).

Closing: Fill gaps of a point cloud by using a dilatation and an erosion filter (see Chapter 5.1.11).

Erosion: Filter a point cloud by using an erosion filter (see Chapter 5.1.12).
