Symptom:

PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH SHORT TO GROUND

When Monitored and Set Condition:
PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH SHORT TO GROUND
When Monitored: Whenever the ignition is in the RUN or ACCESSORY position.
Set Condition: When the BCM senses that the voltage on the Passenger Window Switch
Mux circuit is less than 0.69 volts for longer than 10 seconds.
DTC PRESENT
SWITCH SHORTED
PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH MUX WIRE SHORT TO GROUND
BODY CONTROL MODULE - PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORTED
TEST

Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII , erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Operate the Passenger Window Motor.
With the DRBIII , read DTCs.
Does the DRBIII
GROUND?
Yes → Go To 2
→ The condition that caused the code to set is not present at this
No

Disconnect the Window Switch connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage between Passenger Switch Mux circuit and ground.
Is the voltage approximately 5.0 volts?
Yes → Replace the Window Switch.
→ Go To 3
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES

wiring and connectors.
