INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
*GAUGE CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC TEST —
TEST
2 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
Disconnect the Gauge Cluster C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Gauge Cluster Driver circuit between the Instrument
Cluster C2 connector and the Gauge Cluster C2 connector.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Gauge Cluster Driver circuit for an open.
→ Go To 3
No
3 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
Disconnect the Gauge Cluster C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Gauge Cluster Return circuit between the Instrument
Cluster C2 connector and the Gauge Cluster C2 connector.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Gauge Cluster Return circuit for an open.
→ Go To 4
No
4 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
Disconnect the Gauge Cluster C2 harness connector.
Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, measure the resistance of the
appropriate Gauge Common circuit between the Instrument Cluster C2 connector
and the Gauge Cluster C2 connector.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the appropriate Gauge Common circuit for an open.
→ Replace the Gauge Cluster in accordance with the Service Infor-

5 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
Disconnect the Gauge Cluster C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the appropriate Gauge Signal circuit between the Instru-
ment Cluster C2 connector and the Gauge Cluster C2 connector.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the appropriate Gauge Signal circuit for an open.
→ Go To 6
No
