Symptom:

DRIVER DOOR UNLATCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

When Monitored and Set Condition:
DRIVER DOOR UNLATCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
When Monitored: At all times when battery power is supplied to the Body Control
Module.
Set Condition: When the BCM senses an over current condition on the Driver Door
Unlatch Driver circuit for over 125 milliseconds during an unlatch action.

BODY CONTROL MODULE - DRIVER DOOR UNLATCH DRIVER SHORT TO GROUND
DRIVER DOOR UNLATCH DRIVER WIRE SHORT TO GROUND
DRIVER DOOR LATCH MOTOR - SHORT TO GROUND
TEST

With the DRBIII , record and erase DTC's.
With the DRBIII , read DTC's.
Try to open and close the driver door several times while monitoring the DRBIII .
Does the DRBIII
GROUND?
Yes → Go To 2
→ Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the

Disconnect the Body Control Module C2 connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Driver Door Unlatch Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 1000 ohms?
Yes → Go To 3
→ Replace the Body Control Module.
No

Disconnect the Body Control Module C2 connector.
Disconnect the Driver Door Latch Motor connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Driver Door Unlatch Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Driver Door Unlatch Driver wire for a short to ground.
→ Replace the Door Latch Motor.
No
