Symptom:
BCM - IOD WAKE UP CLUSTER OUTPUT OPEN / SHORT TO
GROUND
When Monitored and Set Condition:

BCM - IOD WAKE UP CLUSTER OUTPUT OPEN / SHORT TO GROUND

When Monitored: With the ignition in all positions.
Set Condition: When the BCM output is off and the BCM detects that the Instrument
Cluster IOD Wake Up circuit is open or shorted to ground for at least 125 milliseconds.
Circuit is checked before Sleep Mode.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAKE UP SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM C4 harness connector.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C1 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Wake Up circuit between the BCM C4 connector and
the MIC C1 connector.
NOTE: If set, diagnose and repair IOD - B(+) OUTPUT SHORT DTC before
proceeding with this test.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Instrument Cluster Wake Up Signal circuit for an
→ Go To 2
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM C4 harness connector.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C1 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Wake Up Signal circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Instrument Cluster Wake Up Signal circuit for a short
→ Go To 3
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION

Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
