General Information
Warning
Using Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) adjacent to or stacked with other equipment
should be avoided because it could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary,
this equipment and the other equipment should be observed to verify that they are
operating normally.
Patient Environment
The following system components are suitable for use in the patient environment:
• CM Display
• CM Camera
• Connection Unit
Sterile Field
The CM Display and CM Camera Joint are sterile when using the drape.
All other Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) components are not sterile.
Warning
Do not position any Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) component close to the sterile field.
User Position
Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) users are expected to stand in front of the 42" Display and
CM Display within easy reaching distance, in order to use the touchscreen to control the device.
When looking at the 42" Display and CM Display, be aware that colors may be displayed
incorrectly if viewed from an inadequate angle.
Space for Servicing the 42" Display
The 42" Display can be flipped down 90° when Brainlab services the system. Ensure that there is
sufficient space in front of and below the system and no permanent objects are installed there.
Electromagnetic Compatibility and Interferences
Precautions regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) must be observed according to the
EMC information for Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) provided in this guide.
The influence of electromagnetic disturbances might lower performance characteristics of the
device such as:
• No or limited function of touch screen
• Ghost touch events
• Loss of connection to wireless network (if applicable)
Warning
Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) produces an electromagnetic field that may interfere
with other sensitive equipment and the functionality of Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted)
itself may be disrupted by other electromagnetic fields.
