Proper System Handling
Proper Handling
Warning
Prior to surgery, test the device to ensure that it is functioning properly. Visually inspect
the device and all cables for damages. Start the system, ensure that the system boots up
correctly and patient data has been loaded correctly. Ensure comunication between Buzz
Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) and the tracking unit. Do not use equipment if you suspect
that it is damaged in any way.
Warning
If the wall on which the system is installed changes in appearance (e.g., cracks), do not use
the system and have an expert evaluate wall stability.
Warning
Do not place heavy objects (> 2 kg) on wall mounted devices.
Risk of Electric Shock
Warning
Never touch the patient and any system parts or electrical interfaces at the same time, due
to possible electrostatic discharge.

Do not touch the electrical contacts of plugs.
Warning
System components should never come into direct physical contact with the patient.
Abnormal Shocks and Impact
Warning
Do not use the system after an abnormal impact (e.g., an earthquake or explosion), due to
the possibility of fundamental structural damage. It is recommended to have an expert
evaluate wall stability.
Modifications
Warning
Do not modify the system in any way. Altering the system or using it outside of its intended
use may result in severe harm to the patient, user or third-party.
DVD Laser Safety
The equipment contains a DVD recorder: This unit meets Class I laser criteria of FDA Laser
Notice No. 50 and IEC 60825-1.
