MR Conditional Components
Warning
The Connection Unit must be placed in a horizontal position (on bottom side). Do not place
the Connection Unit vertically in MR environment. It has not been tested for this and might
behave differently.
Warning
The Connection Unit, CM Camera, CM Camera Joint, supply unit, CM Display, the 42"
Display(s) and the Feature Panel are considered to be MR conditional within their intended
use. They can be exposed to a field strength of maximum 50 Gauss/5 mT. This applies only
if all parts are mounted and accepted by Brainlab support. They must be switched off
during MR scan.
The following tests were conducted to demonstrate the MR conditionality of Connection Unit,
camera and display(s).
The following setup conditions were used for the tests: Connection Unit, camera and display
arranged in the MR cabin along the 50 Gauss / 5 mT fringe field facing the MR scanner, MCU
outside the MR cabin.
During MR Imaging
All Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted) components and accessories located inside the OR must
be turned off and separated from mains power supply during MR scanning.
After MR Imaging
Press the power button on the feature panel to turn on all Buzz Navigation (Ceiling-Mounted)
components and accessories located inside the OR after MR scanning.
Wait at least 60 seconds before using the CM Camera again.
