SECTION 9
SUPPLEMENT II
If normal hydraulic system operation is not restored pull the HYD
PUMP circuit breaker and land as soon as possible. It may be necesary to
lower the landing gear using the emergency extension control.
For airplanes with hydraulic flaps, the flaps will be inoperative under
these conditions and will remain in the same position as when the
malfunction occured.
SECTION 4 - NORMAL PROCEDURE
No change.
SECTION S - PERFORMANCE
No change.
SECTION
6 - WEIGHT AND BALANCE
Factory installed optional equipment is included in the licensed weight
and balance data in Section 6 of the Pilot's Operating Handbook.
SECTION 7 - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
7.9 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
An electrical sensing motor control device has been added to the
hydraulic pump motor circuit. This unit senses two operating conditions to
prevent exceeding the pump motor duty cycle. The unit measures
continuous operating time of the motor, and should running time exceed 17
seconds, automatically deenergizes the electrical circuit. When this occurs,
an amber HYD PUMP annunciator light is illuminated to inform the pilot
that a possible hydraulic system malfunction has occurred.
The unit also counts the number of times the pump motor cycles on and
off. Should the pump ,motor cycle more than 8 times in any
5
minute
interval, the motor control unit will also deenergize the electrical circuit and
illuminate the same amber annunciator light.
The pump motor circuit may be reset (activated) by cycling the HYD
PUMP circuit breaker off (pull out) and on (push in). The amber
annunciator light will then go out, and the pump motor will operate until the
pressure in the hydraulic system returns to 1575 + /- 75 PSI.
If a hydraulic system malfunction has aoccurred and the condition
continues, the pump motor circuit will again be deenergized and the amber
annunciator light illuminated.
