Complete Performance Tests
The Complete Performance Tests verify the specifications of the
Agilent 53147A/148A/149A listed in Chapter 6, "Specifications." All of
these tests can be performed without opening the instrument. Table 1-2
lists a summary of the performance tests.
Record the results of the performance tests in the appropriate place on the
Performance Test Record, which starts on page 1-39.
To ensure that the test results are valid, the instrument and the test
equipment should be powered on for at least 30 minutes prior to beginning
the tests. This allows the internal temperatures of the equipment and the
timebase to stabilize.

Other instrument measurement functions (e.g., Averaging) are
mathematically derived by the microprocessor from the parameters
verified by these performance tests. If the instrument passes the
performance tests, the other measurement functions are also functioning
to specifications.
