Packing the Instrument in Commercially Available

Packaging Materials

If the original factory packaging materials are not available, use the
following procedure to pack the instrument in commercially available
shipping materials.
1 Wrap the instrument in heavy paper or plastic.
2 Place the instrument in a strong shipping container. Use a double-walled
carton made of at least 350 lb. test material.
3 Protect the control panel with cardboard.
4 Add a layer of shock-absorbing material that is 3 to 4 inches (70 to 100 mm)
thick around all sides of the instrument cushion it and to prevent it from
moving within the container
5 Seal the shipping container securely.
6 Mark the shipping container FRAGILE.
