NOTE
It is highly recommended to use the Management port for local management only. Typically the port
should be down (disconnected)
Authorized Manager(s) must be configured properly to enable remote
management using bwaNMS (or another SNMP based application).
The NPU Configuration menu includes the following options:
Management Port
Data Port
Authorized Managers
Bridge
Voice
4.5.3.1 Management Port Parameters
These parameters define the IP parameters for the Management (MGMT) port
connecting the base station to the backbone.
The Ethernet interface of the Management port in the NPU operates using Auto
Negotiation, enabling communication at either 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps, Full
Duplex.
4.5.3.1.1 Management Port IP Address
The IP address of the Management port.
The default is 10.0.0.1.
CAUTION
Do not configure the IP Address of the Management port to 0.0.0.0, as this will cause loss of
management connectivity via the DATA port.
4.5.3.1.2 Management Port Subnet Mask
The Subnet mask of the Management port.
The default is 255.255.255.0.
