Possible Cause
The output volume control is at the
MIN. position (when a speaker is
used).
Pin 4 of the DIP switches on the back
panel of the Voice Unit is ON.
The Voice Unit is defective.
Incorrect output mode and operation
mode have been selected on the DIP
switch on the back panel.
The program is wrong.
Refer to the error code.
Refer to the error code
The output jack is not correctly
connected.
The setting of the line/speaker selector
switch is wrong.
The impedance of the
speaker/external amplifier does not
match that of the Voice Unit.
The power to the external amplifier is
OFF (when a speaker is connected
through the external amplifier).
The recording time when the message
is played back is different from that
when the message was recorded.
The level of the message was too high
when the message was recorded.
The output level is too high.
The program is wrong.
The played back message is affected
by noise.

Correction
Adjust the volume by turning the
output volume control clockwise
toward the MAX. position.
Turn OFF the power to the PC,
remove the Unit, and turn OFF pin 4 of
the DIP switches.
Replace the Unit.
Correctly set the DIP switch.
Check the program.
Refer to the error code.
Refer to the error code.
Check the connection of the plug
connected to the output jack.
Check the setting of the line/speaker
selector switch.
Check the impedance of the
speaker/external amplifier.
Turn ON the power to the external
amplifier and adjust the volume.
Set the recording time to the same as
that when the message was recorded
with the DIP switch.
Record the message at the correct
level.
Adjust the level by operating the
output volume control of the Unit and
the volume control of the external
amplifier.
Check the program.
Separate the cables of the speaker
from power lines and I/O lines.
