About this task
To reinstall the system board, complete the following steps.
Procedure
10. Install the PCI riser-card assemblies and all adapters, as described in

12. Push the power supplies back into the server.
13. Slide the file module into the rack.
14. Reconnect the external cables; then, reconnect the power cords and turn on

1. Install the Ethernet daughter card.
2. Align the system board as tilted shown, then rotate and lower it flat and slide
it back toward the rear of the server.
3. Reconnect to the system board the cables that you disconnected in step 16 on
page 159 of "Removing the system board" on page 157.
When you reassemble the components in the server, route all cables carefully
so that they are not exposed to excessive pressure.
4. Rotate the system board release latch toward the rear of the server until the
latch clicks into place.
5. Replace the fans, as described in "Installing a hot-swap fan" on page 142.
6. Install each microprocessor with its matching heat sink, as described in
"Installing a microprocessor and heat sink" on page 150.
This procedure describes how to remove the old thermal grease and apply a
new coat of grease.
7. Install the DIMMs, as described in "Installing a memory module" on page
139.
8. Install the air baffles, as described in "Installing the DIMM air baffle" on page
99 and "Removing the microprocessor 2 air baffle" on page 95.
9. Install the SAS riser-card and controller assembly, as described in "Installing
the SAS riser-card and controller assembly" on page 119.

Note: You must wait approximately 2.5 minutes after you connect the power
cord of the file module to an electrical outlet before the power-control button
becomes active.
