Boom Lift Control Manifold Service (Fig. 26)
WARNING
Make sure that spray booms are fully lowered be-
fore loosening hydraulic lines, cartridge valves
or plugs from boom lift control manifold. If
booms are not fully lowered as manifold compo-
nents are loosened, booms may drop unexpect-
edly.
CAUTION
Rotate steering wheel and depress traction ped-
al in both forward and reverse to relieve hydrau-
lic system pressure and to avoid injury from
pressurized hydraulic oil.
For boom lift manifold cartridge valve service proce-
dures, see Spray Pump Control Manifold Service in the
Service and Repairs section of Chapter 4 -- Hydraulic
System. Refer to Figure 26 for manifold cartridge valve
and plug installation torque.
NOTE: The six (6) solenoid valve coils on the boom lift
control manifold are identical. To assist in troubleshoot-
ing, identical coils can be exchanged. If the problem fol-
lows the exchanged coil, an electrical problem likely
exists with the coil. If the problem remains unchanged,
something other than the solenoid coil is the problem
source (e.g. a hydraulic problem exists).
